The Logline
The Logline
Bill is a witty and sarcastic young fella recovering from the usual vocational problem that placebos, like himself, have.
His task will be to climb up in the competitive corporate world inside the Pharmaceutical Industry, find success, friendship, and love, in a Metropolis overdosed with millions and millions of other animated and anthropomorphized pills, tablets, and capsules, in a city called “PillVille.”
PillVille Rules
Bill
The pill
age:
Young (mid-twenties)

Witty, Sarcastic, Lazy, Laid back
hobbies:
Loves happy hours and after-offices
not good:
(at all) with women
Bill The Pill is potentially a hero with a huge vocational problem: He’s a Placebo (A drug or medication that has no medical purpose whatsoever).
That’s why his father sent him to the big city. Bill’s distant aunt is Dr Lisa Von Valum PhD, CEO of the Big Pharma Company, the biggest pharmaceutical company in the world. Taking pity on him, Aunt Lisa offers Bill a job as a lobbyist working from her office.
Meanwhile, a particularly annoying side-effect of Bill’s young and reckless personality, is that he has developed a dependency on wittiness and sarcasm. That’s a not well-appreciated condition while trying to move up in the competitive Pharmaceutical Industry.
How can he make it in a cut-throat indsutry when he’s just a placebo?
Bill will have to learn quickly, work smart and overcome his crippling self-doubt if he is to help fend off the FDA, the WHO the CDC, and even the DEA when they come calling.

Dr. Zack (PhD)
The Yoda
Professor Zack (Pro-zack) is the PillVille psychiatrist. He thinks he knows how to resolve almost any problem and treats many of our characters. He lives with his own depression because, being such a great shrink, he has no positive results with any patient.
Prozac
The Assistant
The Meta Character
Behind a discreet facade of spotless perfection, there is a pervert with cruel intentions and amoral behavior. Otherwise, he’s a pretty neat guy who enjoys pointing out some of the flaws of our script work, like over exposition in dialogues, impossible plot twists, and inconsistencies in the behaviors of the characters. As we told you. He’s a pervert.
Unknown
Gretchen the Spy
The Other Girl

Sick City-Pilot
(Full script available)
After college, Bill, our hero/placebo, with no medical usage or a well-defined posology, doesn’t know what to do with his young life. His father, a well-seasoned but not that close to expiration date capsule, decides to send him with a far auntie to the big city. She conveniently is the CEO of a huge pharmaceutical company.
There, Bill will be blasted with the collateral effects of change: New friends (All of them are drugs!), a new and exciting career in the Big Pharma Industry, and the presence of well-formulated girls. Especially, his new impossible crush, and coworker: Jenny Slim.
Suddenly, he’s living the hallucinogenic nature of the city: Parties and events are happening everywhere and they’re packed with millions of pills, capsules, tablets, and pellets eager to have fun. Bill ends up in a sick party. Jenny is there too but with her douchebag boyfriend X-Tasy, who happens to be rich and famous.
Heartbroken, and heart burned, he ends up sharing his bed with a complete pharmacopeia of other medications.
On his cell phone, waiting for the hangover to cease, is a missing text from Jenny.

Ambition Overdose
A little tipsy and Insecure about why she’s doing it, that night Jenny texts Bill despite being with her douchebag boyfriend, X-Tasy.
Is not a secret, Jenny has the ambition to become the next big hit in the competitive OTC Diet Supplements market, and Bill’s consanguineal relationship with Lisa Von Valum, Big Pharma’s CEO, can be useful in that matter. But there’s something about that young pill that seems to be what the doctor prescribed her.
Next Monday, at the office, Jenny puts in operation a plan to incorporate Bill to the formulation of her plan. Broken in two, crushed or dusted, Jenny plans to use Bill’s heart to accomplish her commercial goals.
